The Bible reminds us to
"Give ear, O my people , to my teaching; incline your ears to the
words of my mouth ... (Do not) hide them from (your) children; ... tell to
the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord and the Lord's might
and the wonders that God has done." -- Psalm 78
The Presbyterian Book of
Confession says we are to exercise the greatest care that young
people, even from infancy, be properly instructed in the Word of God and
its teachings.
At each baptism the parents and
congregation promise to nurture the child in the Christian faith, until
the child makes his or her own confession of faith. Through
loving, nurturing teachers, aides, and other leaders; worship; prayer;
music; Scripture; stories; games; crafts; fellowship; opportunities for
service to others; and faith-sharing we help the children grow in their
faith in God, in their acceptance of Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and
in an awareness of the Holy Spirit at work in their lives.
Education is an integral part of
life in community at Trinity. We believe that all Christians are
called to the life-long task of learning by our teacher and friend, Jesus
the Christ. Sunday morning and Wednesday evening programs center around
opportunities for members and visitors of all ages to participate in
joyful learning and spiritual growth. The fun and fellowship we enjoy as
we learn and grow together builds our faith and our families.
 Children's Education
The adult education program at
Trinity strives to engage adults of every age and stage of life in critical
examination of contemporary issues in the life of faith, to support
spiritual and personal growth, and to further the kingdom of God in our
midst.
