Rev. Dr. April Davis Campbell - Pastor

April began her ministry as Pastor of Trinity Presbyterian in August of 2017.  She previously served churches in Stillwater, MN., Robbinsdale, MN., and most recently as Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Hastings, MN.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey and a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Spirituality from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia.  April and her husband Bob have two sons, Emmett (14) and Solomon (12), a dog named Sunny and a cat named Buddy.  In her spare time you can find April enjoying the outdoors with the kids, running with the dog, reading, and blogging at www.dminrevaprilblog.wordpress.com.  She looks forward to the many ways in which the Holy Spirit will be on the move at Trinity.

Amy  Sachse -  Office Administrator

Amy works alongside Pastor April in Trinity's church office. She creates visual and informational connections via Trinity's various communication venues and media; Sunday worship slide presentations, church newsletter,  weekly Friday News Blast, annual reports, church directory, marketing materials, Trinity's webpage, holiday displays, and anywhere else she can step in. 

 

Amy was born and raised in Woodbury, Minnesota. She attended University of MN, -Twin Cities, and earned a bachelor's degree in Studio Arts (focus: ceramics and painting). Amy and her husband, Christopher currently live in Woodbury and have three grown children; Ike (24), Anna (23) & Ian (21), and a standard poodle named Bender. 


Outside of Trinity, Amy is a fine artist of illustration, painting and graphic design. She is an avid rockhound, recently venturing into lapidary arts. She is also a longtime member of a women's Bible study group that she is thankful to be a part of.

Neal Strand - Choir Director

Neal has enjoyed all kinds of music from a very young age. He grew up in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, where he met his wife Sandy and earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Business Administration. Neal works at Wells Fargo during the day as a project manager. In addition to making music, Neal enjoys photography and spending time with his wife Sandy and their children Peter and Kelsey.

Denis Evstuhin - Music  Director

Russian-born pianist Denis Evstuhin has earned international acclaim for his vibrant artistry, remarkable sound quality and brilliant virtuosity by audiences and critics alike. Denis has performed in major cities throughout Russia, Europe, and the USA. Evstuhin has appeared on stages of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, the Great Philharmonic Hall and the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, as well as the Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, and the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall. Denis appeared as a soloist with the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, San Diego Symphony, Sioux City Symphony, and the Fairbanks Symphony. He worked with conductors Tugan Sokhiev, Mark Russell Smith, Henry Charles Smith, Eduard Zilberkant, Philip Mann, Sabrie Bekirova, and Vladimir Ziva, among others.

In 2011 Denis made his New York debut with a solo recital in the International Keyboard Institute and Festival's "Prestige Series" at Mannes School of Music. Later he appeared in recitals at Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts in Chicago, the Chopin Society in Bern, Switzerland, and the Grand Philharmonic Hall in St. Petersburg, Russia. Recent performance highlights include performances at the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall and the Rochester Chamber Music Society.

 

Evstuhin has also appeared on radio and TV stations in Russia, Europe and the US, including Russian National Television and Radio, Polish Radio, Minnesota Public Radio, National Public Radio (USA). In 2010 he appeared twice a guest artist on Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion.” His first commercial CD featuring chamber music by American composers with violinist Helen Chang-Haertzen and cellist Silver Ainomäe was released by Centaur Classics in 2019.

 

Denis has earned top prizes in more than ten International piano competitions including the 1st Place at the Iowa International Piano Competition, the 3rd Place at the Minnesota International Piano-e-Competition, as well as the Paderewski Intl. Competition, Andorra Intl. Competition, Balakirev Intl. Competition, Rachmaninoff Intl. Competition in Los Angeles. In 2007 he became a semifinalist of the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.

 

Denis holds both Graduate and Post-graduate degrees in piano performance and pedagogy from the St. Petersburg Conservatory (studio of Eduard Bazanov and Elena Shishko), as well as M.M. and DMA degrees in piano performance at the University of Minnesota, where he studied with professor Alexander Braginsky. Evstuhin has participated in master classes, performing for the most distinguished pianists of our time, including Yefim Bronfman, Philippe Entremont, Elisso Virsaladze, Dmitry Bashkirov, Jerome Rose, Lev Naumov, and Mikhail Vosskresensky.

Besides his solo career Denis enjoys collaborating with singers and performing chamber music. He had appeared with acclaimed Russian singers including Ekaterina Semenchuk, Vladislav Sulimsky, Marina Poplavskaya, and Mlada Khudoley, among others.

​

Since 2010 Denis serves as a Music Curator and a founder of the classical music series at the Museum of Russian Art in Minneapolis. Within ten years he organized and participated in more than 60 programs featuring internationally acclaimed musicians, such as Minnesota Orchestra's Music Director Osmo Vänskä, concertmaster Erin Keefe, principal cello Anthony Ross, as well as professor Tanya Remenikova, Atrium String Quartet, Duo Parnas, among others.
